The downside lies with the instructions: the ones on the printed sheet did not totally match the ones on the disc so I opted to follow the disc and that worked. So it looks like the program is running on the host. If I recall, someone here used it, saying it basically runs a virtualized session in the background, and then does application presentation from that session, to the desktop of the host OS. One of my'likely' programs did not transfer successfully but over 30 were successful. I know that ZInstall has been mentioned here a few times over the past year or so. I was able to screen out old programs I no longer used or which were associated with my old Lenovo.

It turned out this is the worst migration software I've ever used. I wasn't in the mood to spend hours reconfiguring and reinstalling programs. Plus it screwed up applications I already had on my computer. DO NOT BUY And at 119 it for me was a TOTAL loss. I paid this large amount for a seamless, aggravation free experience. It doesвЂ™nt work and they wonвЂ™t give you a refund unless you fill out a bunch of paperwork and jump over whatever hurdles they want you to.

This product worked like a champ to transfer all my files and photos from my old Lenovo PC to my new HP ENVY PC.
